For Trump Supporters: Questions Worth Considering

In 2015, Kelly stood on a debate stage and pressed Donald Trump on the record about his documented statements describing women as “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals.” Trump retaliated against her for months — publicly, personally, professionally. Kelly experienced firsthand what happens to a journalist who confronts him with his own words. Nine years later, she stood on a different stage, in Pittsburgh, the night before the 2024 election, and described him as a “protector of women.” Three months after that, she stood on a third stage — the eve-of-inauguration rally — and did it again.

Here’s a question worth sitting with: Kelly is an intelligent attorney and a working journalist. She knows what she witnessed in 2015 and 2016. She knows what she said about Trump’s documented treatment of women — because she was the person standing in front of him asking about it. What changed about Trump’s documented record between 2015 and 2024? Or did something else change?
