Biographical Overview

Adebayo “Bayo” Ogunlesi is the Chairman and CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), which he co-founded in 2006 and built into one of the world’s leading infrastructure investment funds with over $100 billion in assets under management. GIP invests in airports, ports, energy, water, and transportation infrastructure globally. BlackRock announced the acquisition of GIP in January 2024 for approximately $12.5 billion, creating the world’s largest infrastructure investment platform.

Before GIP, Ogunlesi served as Executive Vice Chairman and Head of Investment Banking at Credit Suisse Group, one of the most senior roles in global investment banking. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the boards of major infrastructure companies globally.

He holds a B.A. from Oxford University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
