Biographical Overview

Srikant M. Datar, Ph.D. is Dean of Harvard Business School, a position he has held since 2021, and is the Arthur Lowes Dickinson Professor of Business Administration. He joined the HBS faculty in 1996. He is an expert in cost accounting, management control, and accounting information systems. He was previously a faculty member at Stanford Graduate School of Business and Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business.

Datar has been on the T-Mobile board since 2013 — a period that spans the company’s rapid growth from fourth-largest to second-largest U.S. carrier.
