Voter Registration

Notes: Mail-in requests must be notarized and include self-addressed stamped envelope. State recording began January 1, 1910. Birth certificates can also be obtained at any health department in Missouri for those born in the state.

For US Citizens Abroad

Contact USCIS directly at uscis.gov for naturalization certificate replacement. For birth certificates and other federal documents, work with the Missouri Secretary of State’s office which can help obtain documents from federal government sources.

Notes: Missouri requires proof of citizenship for first-time mail voter registration. The state will provide assistance obtaining necessary citizenship documents at no cost. Naturalization records from 1816-1906 may require contacting historical archives. Current naturalization certificates can only be obtained through USCIS.
