Devin Gerald Nunes (born March 1, 1973, Tulare, California) is a Republican political operative who served as U.S. Representative for California’s 22nd Congressional District from 2003 to January 2022, when he resigned to become CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), parent company of Truth Social.
Nunes holds an A.A. in agriculture from College of the Sequoias and a B.S. in Agricultural Business from California Polytechnic State University. He served on the Tulare County local water board before being elected to the House at age 29.
Nunes served as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) from 2015 to 2019, during which he produced the controversial “Nunes memo” alleging FBI surveillance abuses in the Russia investigation.
