Who Is Jodey Arrington?
Jodey Carl Arrington (born March 9, 1972, Lubbock, Texas) is a Republican U.S. Representative serving Texas’s 19th Congressional District since January 2017. He chairs the House Budget Committee, which sets the overall framework for federal spending through concurrent budget resolutions.
Arrington holds a B.S. from Texas Tech University and an M.A. in Public Policy from George Mason University. Before Congress, he worked in the George W. Bush administration as a Special Assistant to the President and as Chief of Staff and Vice Chancellor at Texas Tech’s Health Sciences Center.
He serves on the Ways & Means Committee in addition to chairing the Budget Committee.
