Who Is Joe Wilson?

Addison Graves ‘Joe’ Wilson Sr. (born July 31, 1947, Charleston, South Carolina) is a Republican U.S. Representative serving South Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District since 2001. He is nationally known for shouting ‘You lie!’ during President Obama’s 2009 address to Congress. He is an Army veteran and attorney. SC-2 covers the Columbia area and parts of the Lowcountry.
