Who Is Ron Wright?
Ronald John Wright (May 16, 1953 – February 7, 2021) was a Republican U.S. Representative who served Texas’s 6th Congressional District from 2019 until his death from COVID-19 on February 7, 2021. He was the first sitting member of Congress to die from COVID-19. He tested positive for COVID-19 in late January 2021, weeks after voting to reject certified electoral results on January 6. TX-6 covers the Tarrant County suburbs of Fort Worth.
