Who Is Yvette Herrell?

Yvette Marie Herrell (born August 2, 1964, Huntsville, Alabama) is a Republican former U.S. Representative who served New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District from 2021 to 2023. She is a member of the Cherokee Nation. She lost her reelection bid in 2022 to Democrat Gabriel Vasquez. She was not yet in Congress when the amicus brief was filed.
