Kylie Jane Kremer holds the permit for the January 6 rally. On January 4, two days before the attack, she texted associates: “POTUS is going to have us march there/the Capitol” and added: “It can also not get out about the march because I will be in trouble with the National Park Service and all the agencies, but POTUS is going to just call for it ‘unexpectedly.'” The National Park Service permit specialist who reviewed her permit later stated: “So, um, basically she lied to all of us.” Kremer had received a permit for a stationary rally and was specifically concealing that the event was planned to march on the Capitol — because that wasn’t what the permit allowed.

Here’s a question worth sitting with: Kremer’s January 4 text says “POTUS is going to have us march there.” This is a contemporaneous document written by the permit holder two days before the event.
