DOJ indicted 12 GRU officers (Units 26165 and 74455) for the cyberattacks on the DNC, DCCC, and John Podesta that produced the leaked emails released through Guccifer 2.0 and WikiLeaks during the 2016 campaign. These same GRU units would continue election-related operations targeting 2020. Charges: conspiracy to commit computer crimes, aggravated identity theft, money laundering.
