Biographical Overview

Marcelo Claure (born November 1970, Bolivia) is the founder and CEO of Claure Group, a global investment and business development firm. His prior career included serving as CEO and President of Sprint Corporation (2014–2018) and COO of SoftBank Group (2018–2020) and CEO of SoftBank International (2020–2021). He also founded and sold Brightstar, a global mobile device solutions company, to SoftBank in 2014.

Claure was central to the Sprint-T-Mobile merger negotiations, having led Sprint as CEO before the deal. After leaving SoftBank in 2022 amid governance disputes, he founded Claure Group and returned to broader advisory and board roles. He is one of the most prominent Latin American executives in global technology and telecommunications.

He has served on the Inter Miami CF ownership group alongside David Beckham.
