James Robert Baird (born June 4, 1945, Covington, Indiana) is a Republican former U.S. Representative who served Indiana’s 4th Congressional District from 2019 to 2023. He is a Vietnam War veteran who lost an arm in combat and is a Purdue University agriculture professor. He retired from Congress after his term ended in January 2023.
