Biographical Overview

Robin L. Washington became President and Chief Operating and Financial Officer of Salesforce, the world’s leading CRM platform, in March 2025. Before Salesforce, she was Executive Vice President and CFO of Gilead Sciences from 2008 to 2019, managing one of the most successful pharmaceutical company balance sheets in history during the era of Gilead’s breakthrough hepatitis C drugs. She has also served as CFO of Hyperion Solutions and in senior finance roles at PeopleSoft.

Washington’s concurrent roles at Salesforce — a major enterprise software competitor and partner to Alphabet’s Google Cloud — and her deep financial expertise from Gilead make her one of the most cross-sector engaged independent directors at Alphabet. She was elected to chair the compensation committee and sits on all three of the board’s primary oversight committees.

She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
