Who Is Robert Aderholt?

Robert Brown Aderholt (born July 22, 1965, Haleyville, Alabama) is a Republican U.S. Representative serving Alabama’s 4th Congressional District since 1997 — making him one of the longest-serving members of the current House. He is a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee.

Aderholt holds a B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College and a J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. He previously served as a municipal judge.

AL-4 is one of the most Republican districts in the nation, covering much of northwest Alabama.
