Key Executives

  • Ari Emanuel — CEO of TKO; Executive Chairman of WME Group. Former Trump talent agent (The Apprentice era). Bipartisan power broker with direct Trump access. In March 2026, reportedly urged Trump to intervene in the DOJ’s Live Nation antitrust case.
  • Dana White — CEO of UFC. Trump’s most prominent entertainment-industry ally. See below.
  • Mark Shapiro — President and COO of TKO and WME Group.
  • Linda McMahon — WWE co-founder, now Trump’s Secretary of Education (confirmed March 2025). Contributed $10M to MAGA Inc. PAC in 2024; $23.1M total to Republican causes; $1M to 2025 inaugural committee. Chairs America First Policy Institute.

Formation

TKO Group Holdings was established September 12, 2023, through a merger of Endeavor subsidiary Zuffa (UFC’s operating entity) and WWE. Endeavor held 51% controlling interest; WWE shareholders held 49%, valuing WWE at $9.3 billion. The merger ended 70+ years of McMahon family majority control of WWE. Vince McMahon served as executive chairman until resigning in January 2024 amid a sex trafficking scandal. In March 2025, Endeavor was taken private by Silver Lake and renamed WME Group.

Dana White’s Political Role

White’s relationship with Trump dates to 2001, when he and the Fertitta brothers purchased the UFC for $2 million. Trump hosted the promotion’s first events under new ownership — UFC 28, UFC 30, and UFC 31 — at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City when no other venues would. White has credited Trump as “the first guy to recognize the potential” of the UFC.

RNC Appearances:

  • 2016 (Cleveland): “I know fighters. Donald Trump is a fighter.”
  • 2020 (virtual): Called re-election “critically important.”
  • 2024 (Milwaukee): Final speaker before Trump’s acceptance speech — a slot traditionally reserved for the nominee’s family. Called Trump “the legitimate, ultimate, American badass of all time” after the assassination attempt.

White spoke during Trump’s election night 2024 victory rally. Appointed to Meta’s board of directors by Zuckerberg on January 6, 2025. Held a prominent seat in the Capitol Rotunda at the January 2025 inauguration.

Political Donations

Per OpenSecrets FEC records, White’s contributions include $3,300 direct to Trump (December 2023), $6,600 to Together Holding Our Majority PAC, and $6,600 to Reclaim America PAC (both July 2024). Historical pattern shows donations to both parties prior to 2016, shifting predominantly Republican. White calls himself “not really even that political” and frames Trump support as personal friendship, though OpenSecrets records document consistent Republican donations since 2011.

UFC as Political Infrastructure

Trump has attended numerous UFC events — at least four as sitting president — making fighter-style entrances that function as political stagecraft, reaching UFC’s predominantly young male audience critical to his 2024 victory.

UFC Freedom 250 (June 14, 2026): An unprecedented UFC event on the White House South Lawn, with 4,300 invite-only seats and 85,000 free public viewing at the Ellipse. Planning began days after Trump’s 2024 victory. Trump purchased up to $50,000 in TKO stock in spring 2026. TKO is selling VIP packages at $1.5M each. A federal lawsuit by the Public Integrity Project alleges “a corrupt scheme to hand the White House South Lawn to a private, for-profit sports promoter.”

Accountability Context

TKO represents how entertainment companies function as political infrastructure. Beyond direct donations, UFC provides an audience pipeline to young male voters and a platform for political stagecraft. McMahon’s trajectory from WWE co-founder to Education Secretary and $23M+ mega-donor demonstrates how the combat sports ecosystem has been absorbed into Trump’s political operation.
